Cavallo Park Stud is a young and exciting Thoroughbred breeding, spelling and pre-training farm located in the beautiful Hawkesbury Valley of NSW. Growing faster than even we could have anticipated, we presented our first sales drafts at this year’s Australian Weanling and HTBA sales. We were thrilled to come home with some of the best overall results on the sales complex. With further drafts in major sales upcoming, our breeding and young horse division is expanding rapidly. This is the perfect time for us to find multiple people who share our vision and philosophy as we forge ahead in the industry.

We are a seeking enthusiastic and experienced individuals to join our team for immediate start. Desirable attributes and skills for various roles available include but not limited to as follows:

- Extensive experience in educating & preparing young horses for sales to a very high standard.
- Practical and demonstrable knowledge of Thoroughbred breeding and raising, including foal conformation and early intervention work.
- Excellent horsemanship.
- Ability to assist and co-ordinate Farriers & Vets.
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills. Ability to take instructions & prepare basic reports.
- Ability to lead a small team of staff & work within a team environment.
- Assist with the daily care & routine of feeding, grooming, procedures & treatments.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years industry proven experience and knowledge of horse handling specific to the thoroughbred racing and breeding industry.
- Sound knowledge of Work Health Safety obligations and demonstrated skills in safe work practices.
- Practical knowledge and experience with pre and postnatal care of broodmares and foals.
- Experience with foaling mares.
- Ability and willingness to work relief night-watch.

Extremely comfortable on-farm accommodation, internet (wifi) & utilities are part of the package we are able to offer to the right applicant/s, with excellent remuneration.
