Quality & Process Improvement Manager

**The opportunity**

We are looking for an experienced Continuous Improvement & Quality Manager to join our ever-growing team based in Melbourne’s Northern suburbs. In this role, will be responsible for developing, monitoring and evaluating internal production processes, examining our products to determine their quality and engaging with dealers & customers. You will also be responsible for delivering a hands-on engineering role focused on operational improvements across the site. Gathering product feedback to reduce inspection, rework and warranty costs, among other duties. You will be responsible for the overall quality products released by the company.

**Key Accountabilities**

**Initial Focus**
- Develop Training Plan, midline and end of line quality inspection checklists. Develop Team culture of current inspectors
- Develop cross-training system, including training plans for each stage
- Continue documentation of SOP for all jobs & tasks on both Snowy River and Regent assembly lines
- Assist production manager, with end of line rework and clearing RED vans

**Responsibilities**
- Maintaining and Improve quality control & inspection processes, including improving efficiency and waste.
- Ensuring products are designed with adherence to legal and safety standards.
- Supervising & training inspection staff and monitoring production standards.
- Examining the quality of raw materials that are used in production.
- Monitoring and evaluating internal production processes.
- Evaluating final output of products to determine their quality.
- Rejecting products that fail quality standards.
- Engaging with customers and gathering product feedback.
- Reporting on quality standards and warranty for the business and escalate any issues.
- Identifying, planning, and implementing continuous improvement projects across all areas of the business
- Develop existing processes and support the introduction of new technologies in line with improvement targets
- Carrying out hands on manufacturing engineer duties across machining and/or other special processes to deliver project solutions
- Generating project directives, specifications and Capex requests
- Championing continuous improvement initiatives whilst working closely with operations and engineering teams
- Learn and retain an in-depth knowledge of RVSA compliance

- Minimum 3 years in similar role
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering and/or manufacturing, or similar field
- High level of competence with MS Office packages (especially excel)
- Must have Australian working rights

- 80000 AUD - 90000 AUD (Annum)
