Our Client, is looking for an IBM Mainframe IMS DBA, who is an **Australian Citizen** to work with a government organisation and is experienced in IMS on zOS. You need to be able to guide the client on how best to deploy, configure and manage, specifically IMS and other IMS activities. It is also possible for the work to be done remotely, with some occasional travel to the Client site and **at least Australian Government Baseline security clearance**, NV1 is preferred, is required for the role.

- ** Must be an Australian Citizen and hold a current Baseline security clearance level, a**nd**:

- ** At least 5+ year's relevant local working experience.**

**Skills and experience required**:

- Tertiary qualified in Computer Science or similar highly desireable,
- Minimum of 10 years experience as a Mainframe zOS IMS DBA,
- Ability to deploy, configure, manage and tune IMS databases,
- Monitoring performance using Omegamon/IMS,
- Strong knowledge of IMS Utilities, JCL and performing Database Reorganisation tasks,
- Deep knowledge of IMS frameworks, industry best practices, and emerging trends,
- Establishing best practices, ensuring data integrity, and driving the successful implementation of information management initiatives,
- Ability to Mentor and skills transfer skills and experience to client staff,
- Ability to integrate quickly into a team environment a must,
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills a must to be able to deal with client requirements and demands.

**Notes**:

- Attractive daily rate on offer but will very much depend on skills and experience.
- Start date is ASAP.
- Some travel, for remote (onshore) workers, to the Client site may be required from time to time to Client sites.
