Our Client, is looking for an IBM Mainframe Db2 DBA, who is **an Australian Citizen** to work with a government organisation and is experienced in Db2 zOS. You need to be able to guide the client on how best to deploy, configure and manage, specifically Db2 and other Db2 activities. It is also possible for the work to be done remotely, with some occasional travel to the Client site and **at least Australian Government Baseline security clearance**, NV1 is preferred, is required for the role.

- ** Must be an Australian Citizen and hold a current Baseline security clearance level, and**:

- ** At least 5+ year's relevant local working experience.**

**Skills and experience required**:

- Tertiary qualified in Computer Science or similar highly desireable,
- Minimum of 10 years experience as a zOS Db2 DBA, JCL and REXX,
- Ability to deploy, configure, manage and tune Db2 databases,
- Db2 Z System Admin,
- Db2 Z Database Admin,
- Knowledge of Db2 Z cloning,
- Knowledge of IBM Db2 Tools such as Recovery Expert, Administration and Automation Tools,
- Knowledge of Db2 Z in a data sharing environment,
- Knowledge of System Z storage structures and hardware.
- Ability to Mentor and skills transfer skills and experience to client staff,
- Ability to integrate quickly into a team environment a must,
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills a must to be able to deal with client requirements and demands.

**Notes**:

- Attractive daily rates on offer but will very much depend on skills and experience.
- Start date is ASAP.
- Some travel, for remote (onshore) workers, to the Client site may be required from time to time to Client sites.
