Our client is Australia’s leading polymer compounder. ISO accredited, very well-established and growing, it supplies both standard and customised products to a diverse customer base across Australia and New Zealand. Based in Melbourne’s Western suburbs, this key management role is now available.
Your new position will see you lead a 24/5 industrial production and maintenance team to manufacture and deliver high quality products via a complex process in a safe and cost effective manner. Reporting to the Directors, your role will be largely autonomous with full decision-making authority over factory staff, production planning, process improvement, quality and maintenance.
The successful applicant will likely have a mechanical, chemical or process engineering background (or similar) with a demonstrable history of production management. You will be hands-on and an excellent communicator with people from all walks of life. Attention to detail, a focus on quality and a safety-first mindset are critical. You may have managed similar sized plants or run part of a much larger plant and are now looking for your first whole-of
