**About the Role**

Due to the upcoming retirement of a long-standing employee, we are looking for an experienced Plant & Production Manager to join our leadership team at our Stockfeed site in Corowa, NSW. The Plant & Production Manager is responsible for managing the Production and Maintenance/Electrical services functions within our Stockfeed division.
- Manufacture feed at the optimum production rate and meet defined cost and quality standards
- Manage manning levels, over time and ensure appropriate skills and training resources
- Ensure effective use of labour resources and overtime
- Implement benchmarks and KPI’s for all production processes
- Ensure regular stock takes are conducted and reported
- Lead and promote WHS through compliance, incident investigation and corrective actions
- Ensure coordinated scheduled maintenance activities and priorities with Production demands and schedules
- Minimise unplanned plant downtime and emergency work orders and integrate activity within plant production requirements
- Oversee the plant, equipment, and service schedule database
- Maintain appropriate spare part inventory and value to ensure continuous plant operation
- Provide leadership on capital and replacement projects
- Assist in monitoring performance and improvement of mill process automation
- Ensure processes conform to all aspects of compliance, including FeedSafe and HACCP
- Assist in the preparation of maintenance budgets and work within budget limitations
- Assist in the recruitment process of new employees, including on-site training
- Ensure competitive tendering system and effective negotiations are implemented to ensure costs are minimised
- Manage contractors ensuring regulatory and site-specific compliance
- Ensure objectives / KPI’s are reviewed regularly, and progress reported to management and staff
- Communicate with Stockfeed Operations Manager and other Mill management
- Ensure risk assessments and work instructions are current and reviewed on a scheduled basis

**About You**
- Relevant Industrial, Engineering or Production qualifications
- Sound understanding of production and mechanical/electrical maintenance practices
- Demonstrated ability to manage large scale cost-effective maintenance programs in a continuous manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of compliance
- Previous experience in a similar leadership role, with demonstrated ability to manage, train and delegate responsibility
- High level communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- A preparedness to work flexible hours
- Intermediate computer skills
- Current driver’s licence
