**Administration Assistant - NSW Government - Corrective Services**
- Immediate start - Initial 6 month contract with likely extension
- $44.34ph + super
- Located at Hunter Correctional Centre, Cessnock
- Administration experience essential
- Full time - Working days are Wednesday to Sunday**

This large Government organisation within the Communities and Justice sector are seeking an experienced administration professional for a temporary contract with the possibility of extension. This is a very rewarding role in a friendly and supportive working environment - Ideal for anyone who is seeking a position that provides the opportunity to assist the wider community and work within the Government sector.

**Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Daily switchboard phone calls for the Centre
- Provides customer service to all stakeholders
- Phone messages for Staff are taken and delivered
- Processing inmate phone money
- Verifying Inmate phone numbers and adding them to the Inmates Account
- Inmate General purchases and Inmate Payroll
- Entering Inmate disciplinary charges in OIMS
- All daily courier bookings are made, and deliveries accepted
- All incoming mail is accepted, recorded, and distributed
- All outgoing mail is gathered, recorded, and remitted
- Records management
- Assist with fleet management
- Bookings of visitors when required
- Any other administrative functions as required by the Administration Team

**Skills/experience**:

- Previous administration experience
- Attention to detail and accuracy, highly organised
- Microsoft Office skills - Excel, Word, Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong understanding of confidentiality and the handling of sensitive information
- Self-driven, adaptable, resilient and be able to use initiative to make sound decisions
- Government experience is beneficial but not essential
