Our well known client in the financial services industry is seeking a Solution Designer responsible for producing a set of target state designs that meet technical and business requirements. The Solution Designer is responsible for the overall integrity of solution so must have knowledge of existing system set, the company's overall systems strategy and any applicable IT standards.

This is an initial 12 month contract with a great chance of extension. Within this department there are a lot of projects going on, so your responsibilities and the technology you work on may change over the 12 months as requirements arise. To begin with, there will be design work required with Control M, uplifting from AFT to MFT.

**Responsibilities**:

- Define solution designs and lead the end to end delivery
- Participate in solution governance activities (e.g., design reviews, governance forums etc.).
- Identify system architecture improvement opportunities.
- Engaging with key stakeholders to find out their technical and business needs

**Skills and experience required for this role**
- Experience across the software development life cycle, including high level estimation and business case development.
- Experience with Control M (preferably with AFT)
- AWS experience is preferable
