Our Rare Earths deposit in Mt Weld, Western Australia, is acknowledged as one of the highest-grade Rare Earths mine in the world and we operate the world's largest single Rare Earths processing plant in Malaysia - so you're joining a very unique team As a team member, you will be contributing to the sustainable supply of rare earths metals which are used in oil & gas, electric vehicles, and wind turbines.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Quality / Completions Specialist to join Lynas Rare Earths. This role will report quality exceptions, escalate and drive actions for improvement. This is a 12 month Fixed Term contract, FIFO position from Perth to our Mt Weld Operations on an 2/1 roster.

As a highly valued member of the Lynas Rare Earths team, you will:

- Exercise your practical SMP specialist expertise and knowledge of site construction related quality assurance across structural, mechanical and piping on site (and in fabrication workshops where required).
- Verify that quality-related site & fabrication activities are in accordance with the applicable specifications, codes and standards.
- Report quality exceptions, escalate and drive actions for improvement.
- Support the Construction Management team in developing, implementing, maintaining, monitoring and reviewing the Project Management System
- Preparation of QA/QC documentation plus control and supervision of all amendments and revisions.
- Support the implementation of the QA/QC management system at project site.
- Interface with and input into the Completions & commissioning management system.
- Monitor quality related activities on the project.
- Monitor the implementation of the approved QA/QC Plan/s.
- Monitor the disposition of issued non-conformance reports.
- Recommend and/or implement improvements when required.
- Coordinate with the site Construction Team on all quality issues.
- Monitor and report on the Project Quality and completions KPIs and other as required.
- Work with and support the HSSE Superintendent on site.

Requirements for the role
- 5 years’ experience in QA/QC completions coordination and inspection in the Resources Industry
- C Class Driver’s Licence
- Perth based with flexibility to undertake inspections around Perth Metropolitan area every 3 weeks if and when required instead of attendance to site.
- Appropriate trade, specialist, degree and/or industrial quality control qualifications
- Ability to solve problems with many variables and unique situations
- Proven conceptual, research, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experienced in report writing for internal cascade and management level
- A pro-active attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to identify divergence from the specification and understand the tolerances that can be accepted from a practical perspective
