We are currently seeking for our reputable client, a Water Quality Compliance Specialist on a 6 month contract, to ensure clean and safe water for communities in Perth. As a specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of water quality.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Collaborating with the NPI Water Compliance team and external contractors to meet the objectives outlined in the ADWG (Australian Drinking Water Guidelines).
- Reviewing the results of our water sampling program and taking appropriate follow-up actions for any adverse findings.
- Understanding bore field and water treatment plant layouts and processes.
- Providing technical support for water quality to projects and operational staff.
- Completing monthly, quarterly, and yearly water quality reports to comply with the Department of Health (DoH) and ADWG requirements.
- Managing water quality risk assessments for WAIO (Western Australia Iron Ore).

To be successful in this role, you should have:

- A university degree in environmental science, environmental/civil engineering, chemical engineering, or chemical science.
- 2-5 years of post-university experience in water or mining environments in Australia, with a specific focus on managing drinking water.
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Previous experience working with external government regulators would be preferred.

In addition to your qualifications and experience, familiarity with systems such as MS Teams, Word, Excel, SAP, and databases will be valuable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
