Job Summary:As Completions and Assurance Manager you will report to the GM Construction and Logistics and you will provide program-wide oversight of the completions program and handover documentation program, including program-wide reporting. Provides technical and program guidance to delivery teams in relation to commissioning, technical assurance and handover. Develops completions documentation programs in conjunction with delivery teams.
The hiring process for this position involves customer approval.Major Responsibilities:
- Ensures early planning and execution for completions activities from contractors, including turnover planning, commissioning and handover of assets.
- Responsible for determining requirements for completions with customer and contractors, and creating, structuring, and executing a program that will support documentation and asset handover to the customer.
- Manage the production and completion of completions documentation in line with the project milestones.
- Ensures that correct completions requirements are identified up front and placed into contractor requirements and contracts.
- Review, provide input, monitor progress and provide oversight of the contractor's completion and handover management plan.
- Ensure the contractor's handover documentation programs meet contract requirements and project targets, and are consistent across the project.
- Engages with contractor construction and commissioning teams to focus on work areas to support the completions effort, including the clearance of punch list items and submittal of completions documents; this includes driving turnover and punch list meetings.
- Ensure contractors adhere to their contract obligations.
- Develops reporting material using the various tools available (PowerBI dashboard, BIM models, construction documentation, construction programs, etc.) to provide program-wide management level reporting of completions status and highlight critical areas.
- Liaises with the contractor's construction and commissioning teams to ensure an effective punch list process that compliments and benefits the overall completion effort.
- Oversees and conducts quality assurance reviews of contractor certification packages.
- Manages complex organisational interactions that evolve from the participation of several functional teams or from customer-established relationships.
- Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 20+ years of relevant experience or 25+ years of relevant work experience
- Skill in working and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with other project functional groups.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members.
- Demonstrated experience in project completions management and processes and procedures for major infrastructure or aviation projects.
- Technical knowledge of related construction systems, applications of engineering and construction and commissioning methods and materials for major infrastructure projects.
- Experience working with and managing contracts. Proficient knowledge of project commissioning and completion processes and procedures.
- Computer literate in MS Office and database applications as well as BIM environments required.
- Knowledge and Experience in commissioning, integration, assurance, completions, handover and operational trials for one or more very large or complex aviation projects, or a major project on which there are unique problems in the schedule, finance, construction or design.
- Skill in negotiation for dealing with contractors.
- Understanding of ORAT testing concepts through experience in supporting or executing operational trials.
- Ability to prepare meaningful reports.
- Ability to draft high quality documentation.
- Must be able to work within a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team and manage challenging relationships across a range of entities.
