The Role

Operates manufacturing equipment including a rubber mill, extruder, rubber compression and injection moulding presses to produce rubber and polymet wear lining products. Works in a team environment in the manufacture of a range of rubber and polymet, screen media products, primarily for the mining industry and aggregate industry.

Understands the work activities of the workstation, the co-ordination of workflow to meet schedules and the importance of maintaining a high standard of housekeeping of the workstation.

The Person

Essential

Reads production drawings in conjunction with works orders for product specifications such as cure times, molding blank weights, rubber quality, dimensions and tolerances.
Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of manufactured parts to specifications.
Understands the quality requirements of the products and ability to perform first part quality check.
Current forklift ticket

Desirable

Experience in shot blasting, spray painting, cutting and punching machines
Current dogging ticket
Experience in Operating rubber injection molding press
