**About **us**
Healius Pathology is part of Healius’ Pathology division, one of Australia’s leading providers of private medical laboratory and pathology services. We operate about 100 medical laboratories and 2,000 patient collection centres across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. Each year, we provide one in every three pathology services in Australia, extending from exclusively servicing some of Australia’s largest and most complex private and public hospitals to small and remote Australian Aboriginal communities.
**About the role**
We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Coordinate and maintain an efficient workflow for all areas of the GD VIC & QLD laboratories and GD services in collaboration with the Chief Scientist, Scientific Director, and National Business Manager
- Facilitate the review, change, document control and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOP) and other information manuals within the GD business in conjunction with the Quality and Risk Manager
- Ensure the laboratory continues to meet the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) Medical Testing Requirements & ISO 15189 guidelines in conjunction with the Scientific Director & the Quality & Risk Manager
- Maintain GD VIC laboratory operations and lead implementation of operational efficiencies, safely and compliant with regulatory and budgetary requirements
- Lead contingency planning for major disruption of GD VIC & QLD operations
- Lead business case development for building works and maintenance
- Coordinate all building works and facilities management activities for GD VIC, including liaising with contractors and service personnel for building and maintenance works and issues.
**About you**
To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
- At least 2 years of leadership-level experience in operations and facilities management, and risk management processes
- Previous experience in a health service and/or scientific laboratory, ideally in diagnostic pathology (accredited to ISO 15189 and/or ISO 17025)
- Extensive working knowledge of medical testing laboratory accreditation requirements and standards
- High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work consultatively and collaboratively with staff of all levels and external stakeholders
- Excellent writing and analytical skills, and highly developed organisational and project management skills
- Knowledge of the Ultra (Triple G) computer system and Q-Pulse would be an advantage
