Are you an experienced Business Development Executive looking for your next challenge in the world of ICT services? The primary function of this role is to develop, qualify, and extend our footprint of new business opportunities within the commercial arena. We are looking for a unique individual with strong knowledge of Sydneys market and a proven track record of success. Thriving on the thrill of the chase is essential. Your success will also be ensured by your ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and vendors.
Main Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the designated territory (Sydney), encompassing a targeted prospect list and a regional sales plan.
- Identify and qualify prospective clients, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the regional market.
- Lead in initiating and securing new business relationships, focusing on acquiring new logos to expand the client portfolio.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective coordination in delivering exceptional service.
- Develop and expand relationships with key vendor partners.
Your role will be to leverage your commercial networks and sales background to lead the development of our customer relationships, with a particular focus on supporting the move to continuous transformation. Reporting directly to the Head of Industry Commercial, you will lead and continue to grow our presence in the NSW region.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Ideally 10+ years of experience in winning new business, focusing on selling horizontal ICT services to commercial sector clients with a proven growth track record.
- A deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing the commercial sector, and the ability to communicate the value of our services to potential clients.
- Experience in leading bid teams with strategic insights and delegating tasks where appropriate. This is a busy and complex role where we seek someone dynamic, customer-focused, highly skilled, and motivated.
- Existing strong networks within the commercial sector and excellent interpersonal skills and confidence.
- Experience in CRM pipeline management and account/opportunity planning methodologies.
- Proven ability to work with diverse teams and clients, demonstrating strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Analytical skills to assess market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to drive effective sales strategies.
- Proficiency in using sales and communication tools, such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other CRM software.
