**Primary objective**:
Lead and coordinate the commercial aspects of the business to promote and grow Otraco. This role is responsible for maintaining all general accountancy practices through initiative, drive and communication.

**Specifically, the role is accountable for**:

- Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action
- The financial modelling for tendering projects, and the ongoing financial management of existing Otraco projects
- Evaluating the impact of a business decision on the business’ financial statements, and financial wellbeing in the long term
- Enabling the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives.

OVERALL OBJECTIVES
- Display leadership to Otraco employees by leading the commercial aspects of the busines
- Control and maintain the accounting function across the business
- Provide ongoing support to Operations whist complying with Otraco Management System policies and procedures
- To ensure compliance to all legal and statutory requirements
- Lead by example in adhering and advocating company standards, policies, procedures and values
- In collaboration with the client, peers and the business, have a strong focus on the delivery of accuracy and innovation for the company.
- Provide support and guidance to the Senior Management Accountant

TECHNICAL OBJECTIVES
- Provide leadership to your team and the rest of the business through providing motivation, teamwork and morale
- Regular meetings with Operational teams to ensure client and site requirements have been met
- Supervise the preparation of monthly reports and budgets
- Maintain computerised accounting system and recommend changes if necessary
- Analyse financial reports, isolate financial problems and follow with implementing a solution
- Make costing adjustments across the business

- Actively promote a HSE culture across the team and lead by example.
- Ensure that all personnel work safely and comply with Otraco procedures and legislative requirements.
- Ensure that all procedures are communicated, understood and complied with by all personnel.
- Review and recommend improvements to existing procedures, to encourage the adoption of best practice and standardisation across all Otraco operations.

**Job Specification**: (essential or desirable qualities required - i.e. education, knowledge / skills)

ESSENTIAL
- Degree in Accounting including CA or CPA
- Experience leading large geographically disperse multi-disciplinary teams
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing business improvement and strong client engagement
- Experience in standardising and aligning work processes across a geographically and disperse business
- Strong communication, negotiation, influencing and presentation skills

DESIRABLE
- Experience in accounting in the mining or tyre industry
- Knowledge of relevant accounting systems and software
