Our client is ready to welcome a skilled Purchasing Officer to their dynamic team, bringing their expertise to support our operations within the mining industry. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in optimising procurement processes, ensuring efficient collaboration with stakeholders and driving cost-saving initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver training, guidance, and advocate best practices in procurement processes to bolster overall business efficiency.
- Maintain accurate vendor data, convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders, and oversee Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GRIR) processes to ensure seamless operations and financial transparency.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal standards, regulations, and budget guidelines while actively negotiating savings and exploring new vendor opportunities.
- Assist in contract sourcing, negotiation, and execution, while proactively managing overdue items and fostering healthy vendor relationships.

**Skills and Attributes**:

- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a Purchasing and Procurement role.
- Possess exceptional commercial acumen and a aptitude for analytical thinking.
