**Logistics & Purchasing Officer**

**About the company**
Join a tier 1 industrial Engineering leader within their logistics department, our client is searching for a Logistics and Purchasing Officer to join their office based in Sydney’s south west. If you live and breathe logistics as a career and you have a background within engineering or adjacent then this role is perfect for you.

**About the role**
You will be accountable for the following; managing sea shipments to ensure deadlines are met, maintain supplier relationships, establish inventory control procedures, place purchase orders in the MRP, plan and conduct annual stocktake, logistics and store keeping functions, and deliver on demand in a cost effective manner.In addition, you will liaise with the sales team to ensure terms align with quotes, costs, inventory, drop shipping and taxes.

**About you**
To be considered for this role you will have the following attributes:

- Must have SAP experience
- Must have an engineering background or adjacent
- A minimum of 5+ years experience in Logistics and Purchasing
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, spreadsheet calculations, ect)
- Strong organisational skills
- Demonstrates project management skills
- Inventory management experience
- Ability to connect with vendors and customers
- Ideally you have a cost savings mindset
- Experience handling tasks under pressure
