**Role Overview**
Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to corporate indirect and direct tax risks
- Establish a strong tax control environment and ensure accountability Drive process improvements and increase efficiency in tax processes
- Lead the tax team with clear accountabilities and a focus on high performance
- Focus on the right activities and priorities to effectively manage tax risk
- Provide strong leadership to the tax team
- Report to the Board and Audit Committee on tax matters
- Manage relationships with tax authorities, such as the ATO, effectively.
**Desired Skills and Experience**
- CA/CPA qualification
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting or law
- Exhibit a profound understanding of the financial services industry
- Display a comprehensive understanding of accounting standards and regulations
- Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and execute team activities
- Capability to delegate tasks and empower staff while providing adequate support.
