Head of Tax – Succession Opportunity | Mid-Tier Firm | Sydney CBD

Are you an experienced tax senior manager or AD ready to take the next step into leadership? This is a rare succession opportunity with a respected mid-tier accounting firm in Sydney's CBD – a chance to lead and grow a thriving private client tax practice with genuine scope for progression.

The Opportunity

You'll step into a leadership role guiding a well-established tax team and client base, taking over from the current head of tax who is moving into a broader leadership position. The role offers variety, autonomy, and impact – with work that includes:

  • Advising on employee share schemes
  • Trust and corporate restructuring
  • Tax aspects of business acquisitions and sales

This is not a large-corporate tax role. You'll work closely with business owners and leadership teams, providing strategic tax advice to a diverse SME client base. It's also a highly collaborative role within the firm, so relationship-building skills and the ability to liaise internally are key.
