Are you an experienced tax professional looking for a new challenge? This leading global financial services company is seeking a dynamic and accomplished individual to lead this organisation's global tax function.

A truly global organisation with operations in multiple jurisdictions, including Australia, Europe, and the United Kingdom, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse teams and engage with tax authorities worldwide. As the leader of their tax team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with corporate and indirect taxation laws across all jurisdictions.

In this role, you will be pivotal in shaping the tax aspects of strategic projects, such as acquisitions, divestments, and group restructures. Your expertise will be instrumental in addressing critical tax considerations related to debt and equity financing, ensuring projects are executed seamlessly.

You will be part of a highly skilled team and collaborate closely with key stakeholders across various business units and functions, including Finance, Legal, HR, and Technology. Your tax advice will be sought-after to facilitate compliance and identify optimal structures for operations and transactions.

As a people leader, you will have the opportunity to lead, coach, and develop a team of talented tax professionals across multiple locations. Your expertise and guidance will empower your team members and contribute to their professional growth.

You should have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in tax management, preferably gained in an accounting practice or a large multinational corporate setting. Your experience will be invaluable in navigating the complexities of international tax laws.

A strong understanding of Australian tax legislation is a must, and if you also have knowledge of UK, Irish, and New Zealand taxation, that's even better. Your familiarity with various tax regulations will enable you to provide comprehensive advice to their organisation. They need someone who can handle complex tax matters with confidence.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and tax software products (such as CCH Integrator) is important for this role. Your comfort with technology will enable you to streamline processes and maximise efficiency.
