**Student Centre Coordinator - Ongoing, Full Time**

We are looking for an organised Student Centre Coordinator to support the holistic Student Centre functions which enable students to engage successfully with their learning experience at AFTRS. Reporting to the Head of Student Centre, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This role plays a key part in facilitating community-building initiatives and arranging events, supporting student inquiries, managing office administration, stakeholder engagement, and providing administrative support for scholarships.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the Student Centre is a welcoming and inclusive space that provides comprehensive and timely support to students building a safe, creative, and vibrant culture at AFTRS.
**About the role**:
- **As the Student Centre Coordinator at AFTRS, you will**:_
- Deliver exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by responding to inquiries and resolving concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Be a primary point of contact for students, answering queries, triaging enquiries, referring on where appropriate, seeking out information from relevant member of staff where necessary prior to responding, and connecting students with resources both on and off campus.
- Contribute to facilitating community-building initiatives and events that promote a positive and inclusive student experience such as orientation programs, social events, community gatherings, information and development sessions.
- Provide high level administrative support to the Student Centre team including the Head of Student Centre, Student Counsellor, Student Information Manager and Student Engagement Manager.
- Manage office administration tasks, including assisting students with scheduling appointments, maintaining office supplies, processing mail, and managing equipment and room bookings.
- Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including staff, students, and guests to AFTRS.
- Undertake and assist in updating student records and other systems as part of the team.
- Contribute to student-facing administrative processes across the academic year, including new enrolments, change of status, exit clearances, orientation, graduation, and community events.
- Undertake first level research and analysis to inform Student Centre processes and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for improvement or to add value to a program or process and coordinate and project manage specific projects as directed.
- Work collaboratively to create, edit, publish and manage basic written, audio and visual resources to support effective student information.
- Prepare contracts as required, ensuring individuals are introduced appropriately to AFTRS Charter and values, WHS requirements and understand expectations regarding deliverables where relevant.
**About you - you will have**:
- Experience working in a student services or customer service role, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small team in a fast-paced and complex environment.
- High level attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills with the proven ability to work proactively under pressure with limited supervision and to exercise initiative and judgment in a wide range of situations.
- Experience in managing relationships, handling enquiries and issues with tact and diplomacy, with a professional and personable approach.
- Experience in effective project management including meeting deadlines, meeting budget, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage a range of competing tasks under pressure.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently work with computer-based systems including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Possess qualifications, or be willing to be trained in, Mental Health First Aid and First Aid.
**This position is open to all Australian citizens or Permanent Residents.**

**Salary: AFTRS Level 5 ($73,394), plus up to 15.4% superannuation and excellent benefits.**
