A fantastic permanent opportunity to join the Victorian Building Authority to lead our Internal Review team.

As the Manager, Internal Review you will be responsible for discharging the Victorian Building Authority's (**VBA**) internal review function by leading the Internal Review Unit in the critical evaluation of building practitioner discipline and registration decisions made by the VBA under the _Building Act 1993_ (**Act**), and managing reviews under the _Infringements Act 2006_.

**Who we are looking for**:

- Admission or eligibility for admission to the legal profession in an Australian jurisdiction (that is, an Australian lawyer), with extensive post-admission experience in administrative law and government or judicial decision-making processes.
- Exceptional ability to build and maintain constructive relationships with a range of complex internal and external stakeholders, including the ability to negotiate with tact and diplomacy and influence strategic outcomes.
- Sound working knowledge of the Building legislative framework, including the Building Act 1993, Domestic Building Contracts Act 1995, Building and Construction Industry Security of Payments Act 2002 and associated regulations will be highly regarded.
