**Job description**

The Royal is an anchor of the Leichhardt community and provides welcoming service, food, and drinks across two levels. Downstairs, the main bar serves pub classics. Come the weekend it’s a sports haven for local rugby teams. Free weekly events including live music and trivia take place here.

**A bit about the role**:

- Managing the daily operations including bar, dining, kitchen, functions and gaming
- Front of house venue management - Ongoing walk throughs of the venue to ensure service quality, procedure implementation, cash control and the overall customer experience is being maintained to maximum standards
- Managing labour costs to ensure daily targets are met
- Assisting with the training and development of front of house staff
- Active involvement in team and management meetings on a weekly basis
- Ensuring the venue is compliant with Liquor & Gaming regulations, and WHS requirements, and dealing with authorities when required
- Qualification in management and/or Hospitality are desirable
- 38 hours/week

**A bit about you**:

- You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a hotel management role You will have a passion for the hospitality industry, in particular high-quality food and beverage
- Have a can do, positive and proactive attitude, with exceptional communication skills
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle high pressure situations
- Be a self-starter, motivated and organised, with excellent time management skills
- You will display excellent leadership qualities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Have full time Australian working rights.

Salary range: from $70,000 plus super depending on experience.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Night shift
- Public holidays
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Leichhardt, NSW 2040: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
