Infrastructure Services Manager

**The Role**
We are seeking an engaging and supportive **Infrastructure Services Manager** to join Ventia’s Defence Base Services contract. Reporting to the Estate Maintenance & Operational Sites Manager (EMOS), this role will see you based at HMAS Stirling / Garden Island in Rockingham.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide overarching operational management for the delivery of the Estate Upkeep services to maximise efficiency and achieve KPI’s. You also have responsibility as the technical authority whilst ensuring the continual improvement of the Base Service Area.

This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday-Friday 07:00am to 03:30pm (_with some flexibility_).

**Key duties, but not limited to**:

- Manage comprehensive and preventive maintenance of facility equipment in accordance with Australian Standards and manufacturer specifications
- Ensure that work planned and authorised by Defence and Ventia is carried out efficiently and to a high standard by refining and updating Maintenance Plans
- Undertake the preparation and control of maintenance, overhauls, modification, refurbishment and other minor works ensuring the works are carried out in accordance with quality, safety, environmental and Defence requirements
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining contract KPIs such as response time, costs and backlog
- Seek opportunities for continuous improvement in cost reduction, increased productivity and improve quality, safety and environment across the base
- Distribute and prepare (where appropriate) of technical procedures and work instructions
- Coordinate and conduct field audits to ensure compliance with the quality, safety and environmental systems as required.
- Ensure appropriate supervision of approved Subcontractors and suppliers is in place, and where necessary initiate such corrective actions as are required to maintain quality and timing of supply in accordance with respective agreements
- Develop staff through the Performance Development Plans, structured training and succession planning
- Monitor and manage performance of direct reports and their teams covering positive and negative performance outcomes to achieve a continuous improvement in performance
- Investigate incidents and identify and implement corrective actions

**Requirements**:

- Australian Driver’s License
- Tertiary qualification in an applicable engineering discipline or trade background with relevant experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasking and time, and to deliver a value for money seamless service to the Client
- Experience with a CMMS (_computerized maintenance management system_)
- Strong computer skills with the Microsoft Suite
- Experience in a similar role - _Highly regarded_
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screening) and police check
