- Monday to Friday 38 hours per week
- $45 per hour

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Civil Maintenance Supervisor to join the Technical Services - Infrastructure and Coastal Engineering Team on a 4-8 week contract. Reporting to the Coordinator Infrastructure and Coastal Engineering, this role will be responsible for, supervising internal work teams and external contractors to deliver, high quality and cost-effective civil infrastructure maintenance that meets the City’s standards, provide leadership and guidance to maintenance work crews and coordinate delivery of services to ensure the effective and efficient use of resources, and Delivery of reactive and proactive operational maintenance program.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate under general direction providing leadership and supervision to subordinate staff.
- Promote a safety-first culture, by developing and implementing operational work safety and health systems and processes.
- Ensure employees under direction are performing at required standards.
- Administer all human resource functions for Civil Maintenance Crews.
- Prepare and review of maintenance budget information in conjunction with Coordinator.
- Undertake job costing, ordering supplies, surveying and design modifications, risk management and safety requirements of jobs, and scheduling works.
- Perform other duties as directed when appropriate to the scope and level of this position.
- Sound time management and organisational skills.
- Well-developed human resource management and leadership skills including managing outside workforce.
- Considerable knowledge of worksite safety in accordance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation
- Considerable experience in municipal engineering in construction and maintenance of civil infrastructure.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent and or considerable experience in similar works.
- Current ’C’ class driver’s licence.
