**The Role**:
**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Provide H&S leadership across the program, in line with the agreed JLG safety management systems and framework.
- Ensure risks are identified and mitigated whilst delivering on our moral obligation to make sure everyone goes home safe.
- Work with multiple internal and external clients and stakeholders to drive a culture of best practice health and safety performance where compliance is kept simple however never compromised.
- Support the Operations team to deliver the program in a safe and efficient manner, with strong communication, collaboration and unity.
- Lead and develop a team of safety professionals to deliver on this important program within multiple communities and locations.
- Responsible for reporting in line with the frequency and expectations of the program lead and client.
- Manage other responsibilities as required by the business
**Key Selection Criteria**:
Do you have proven examples of demonstrating drive and energy? Are you extremely motivated and can think outside the box. Being able to demonstrate and highlight examples of these are key to your success. The following selection criteria are critical to perform this position though we are happy to teach and mentor you along the way:
- Tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety
- Experience in the Building & Construction sector
- Background in injury claims management
- Workers compensation experience ideal, however not essential
- Trade background, Cert IV in Training & Assessment and/or Return to Work Coordinator course advantageous, however not essential
- Understanding of WHS management systems in a workforce that is contractor based
- Accident compensation & environment management legislation knowledge
- Ability to lead & motivate a team
- Experience training groups
- Background developing & maintain effective partnerships with key organisational stakeholders
- Ability to manage demanding & changing workloads in a high-pressure & time critical environment
- Ability to analyse & interpret data, laws & regulations
- Strong decision making & problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Honesty, trustworthy and high level of integrity
- Motor vehicle licence
- Construction induction card
- Working with children check
