**The Positions**

An exciting opportunity exists for innovative and motivated Transport Logistics Planner and Scheduler to join our high performing team. Working closely with our Metro Logistics Drivers you will be responsible for the efficient and effective allocation and coordination of daily inbound and outbound freight movements within the Perth metro area.

The position require a strategic thinker with dedication and motivation / drive to succeed. This hands-on role requires a strong communicator with exceptional customer service skills and the ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.

**You will also be flexible with working hours and the ability to work on a rotating roster of early to mid-morning starts (04:00 to 13:30 & 12:00 to 21:30).**

**Daily tasks include but are not limited to**:

- Effectively create and execute the daily metropolitan fleet pick-up and delivery schedules
- Planning loads in accordance to customers' delivery requirements, for the drivers to execute
- Solving issues as they arise regarding break
- downs, staffing, delays, set backs, etc
- Deliver reliable and consistent Delivery in Full on Time (DIFOT) performance
- Ensure drivers comply with company and customer paperwork requirements

**Your demonstrated skills and capabilities will include**:

- Outstanding knowledge of the Perth metropolitan area and country locations
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and adapt to change quickly
- Remain positive whilst working under pressure
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you will be in daily liaison with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven planning, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues with moderate complexity
- Medium to advanced MS Office skills (Excel & Word),
- Must be flexible with working hours and the ability to work on a rotating roster of early to mid morning starts (04:00 to 13:30 & 12:00 to 21:30)
- Previous experience within the transport and logistics industry would be highly regarded
- Most importantly you are team player who can work with all parties to ensure success of the operations of the business.

**To Apply**

To be successful, applicants must be eligible to work in Australia full time and willing to undergo a pre-employment medical and able to provide a clean drug and alcohol screening result. A Police Clearance may also be required.
