School Sports Coordinator

We are seeking a self motivated and dynamic individual with proven ability to lead a team and build capacity to manage Collegiate's school sporting program for students in K to 12.
Reporting to the Deputy Principal you will be responsible for overseeing the administration, coordination and content of the School’s sporting and co-curricular programs, events and carnivals. Supported by the Sports Administrator you will work closely to ensure a wide variety of co-curricular sport is offered to students that promotes participation and builds our presence in the community.
Key accountabilities include:
- Risk management for all co-curricular sporting activities
- Management of sporting programs in line with SATIS roster
- The provision of appropriate and high quality interschool sporting opportunities for students
- School representation at SATIS meetings
- Policy development
- Coordination and oversight of term sporting programs in line with SATIS roster
- Management of coaches, managers and volunteers (WHS, compliance)
- Data management, records and reporting
- Sports budget
- Maintain the profile of sport at Collegiate
- Academic qualifications in sports, management or complimentary qualifications in sports administration
- Proven ability to lead a team and build capacity Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to interact effectively and build relationships with key stakeholders
- High level of organisational and proven management skills in a school sporting environment.
- Demonstrated administrative abilities with a high level of computer skills in the Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Outlook, Excel), report writing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
- Experience in writing policy and procedures within the scope of Sports Administration
- A current driver’s license
- An ability to be flexible in working hours when applicable
