Head of Group Tax Australian Gas Infrastructure

Australian Gas Infrastructure Group is a leader in its sector, managing critical gas infrastructure across Australia through its infrastructure businesses that include Australian Gas Networks, Dampier Bunbury Pipeline and Multinet Gas Networks. It is also leading the way in renewable gas, through the development of carbon neutral projects such as renewable hydrogen production. With an asset base of approximately $9 billion, a customer base of over 2 million and employing more than 300 staff, AGIG is poised for further growth.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role has oversight of and is responsible for the complete taxation function of the Group. Leading a small team and working closely with the accounting and treasury teams across various states, key responsibilities include:
- ensuring the provision of technically accurate, practical. commercial and value adding tax advice on a timely basis;
- delivering tax compliance and internal and external reporting obligations covering the full suite of obligations expected in a Group of this size;
- management of tax risk management;
- contributing to the provision of financial reporting and forecasting information as relating to taxation and as part of multi taxation Groups.
