We are seeking a Paediatrician with experience and an interest in neurodevelopmental and behavioural paediatrics. This outpatient and community focussed role will be within a new multidisciplinary service including mental health clinicians, GPs with a special interest, allied health professionals, and nursing colleagues. The service is patient and family focused. Experience in service development would be an advantage.

This position sits within Paediatric Services of the Royal Hobart Hospital, which has close links with the Tasmanian Community Paediatric Service and Child and Adolescent Mental Health services.

**The Role**
- Provide outpatient clinical care of children and adolescents with suspected neurodevelopmental or behavioural issues.
- Provide supervision within the multidisciplinary team in developmental paediatrics.
- Develop sustainable practice partnerships for neurodevelopmental assessment and management of children and young people in Southern Tasmania.
- Provide leadership and drive the evolution of behavioural and developmental services for Tasmanian children and adolescents.
- Participate in statewide planning for neurodevelopmental services for Tasmanian children and adolescents.
- Deliver teaching to medical students of the University of Tasmania and to Paediatric trainees on the Tasmanian training program.

**Salary**
- Medical Practitioners (Public Sector) Award_

A remuneration package comprising the Agreement base salary, relevant allowances and other entitlements will be negotiated with the successful applicant dependent on clinical experience and seniority.

Base salary points range for Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1 at $210,000 through to Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 11 at $288,000 with further salary increments available.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

- Allowance in lieu of motor vehicle currently set at $28,389 pro rata per annum, paid fortnightly (with CPI indexation on 1 July each year).
