**The Hospital**:
This is Australia's second oldest hospital opening in 1804, and is a major clinical teaching and research centre working closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. The hospital provides acute, sub acute, mental health and aged care inpatient and ambulatory services to a population of about 240,000 people and has 550 physical beds, including 460 acute overnight and 90 day beds.

**The Role**:
Our client is looking for a Staff Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine.

This is a part-time 0.5 FTE opportunity, there is a possibility of making up FTE in General Medicine.

As a part time employee with the Department of Health there may be available hours in private practice.

As a Rehabilitation Specialist Consultant, participate in all aspects of the medical care of rehabilitation patients/clients across a range of settings, including acute inpatient, in-reach, ambulatory and community rehabilitation services. The occupant will also be involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, be actively involved in research and undertake quality improvement activities.

**The Requirements**:

- The FRACP
- Your full specialist training in the UK, USA, Canada or Ireland
- Have had your specialist training assessed by the RACP and have been found to be 'substantially comparable'
