Our client is a national charity dedicated to funding scientific research aimed at discovering kinder, more effective treatments for children diagnosed with cancer. We are seeking a passionate Content Specialist to join our dynamic team.
THE ROLE:
As a Content Specialist, you will report to the Head of Marketing & Communications. Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Collaborating with the Head of Marketing and Communications and Graphic Designer to craft compelling written content that supports fundraising, marketing, and communication objectives.
- Conducting interviews with families, fundraisers, corporates, and donors to develop engaging stories.
- Overseeing the execution and production of the Annual Report.
- Collaborating with the Head of Marketing and Communication to develop personas for campaigns, events, and appeals.
- Assisting in the analysis of fundraising and marketing activities and contributing to the evaluation process for events and campaigns.
- Leading SEO efforts, including optimising existing content, conducting keyword research, technical audits, and link building.
- Managing freelance content contributors and working with the Digital Marketing Specialist to develop a website governance strategy.
- Providing support for PR and external communications, including preparing press releases.

YOU:

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with a strategic mindset.
- Previous experience in writing science or research-related content is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively.
