Sunshine West, Victoria, Australia Australia Post Full time $120,000 - $150,000 per year

Help us deliver like never before

Australia Post is delivering like never before. From the vehicles that we drive, to the small businesses that make our communities thrive. We're delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and our people. We're moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.

About the opportunity

As a Content Development Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping how critical information is communicated across Australia Post's network. This role is responsible for creating, coordinating, and delivering high-quality strategic communication materials that translate complex commercial data, insights, and recommendations into clear, impactful messages for C-suite audiences, including the Australia Post Leadership Team, Board, and Shareholder.

Operating as a central point of contact, you'll work closely with leaders across the Network Operations Extended Leadership Team to ensure alignment across the network ecosystem. Your work will enable leadership visibility of key initiatives, interdependencies, and operational performance, helping to drive informed decision-making and strategic outcomes.

We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, creative, and collaborative, with a reputation for being solution-focused. If you enjoy simplifying complexity, influencing at a senior level, and making a tangible impact through communication, this opportunity will allow you to do just that.

What you'll deliver with us

In this role, you'll be at the centre of how we communicate Australia Post's most important priorities. You'll turn complex data and insights into clear, compelling stories that create alignment, enable visibility, and support decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with leaders, specialists, and teams, you'll help drive clarity, consistency, and connection, and deliver impact in the following ways:

  • Shape strategic communications – develop high-quality narratives, visualisations, and presentations that translate complex commercial and operational data into insights for executives, the Board, and key stakeholders.
  • Drive alignment across the network – act as a central liaison between teams to integrate initiatives, manage communications calendars, and ensure consistent messaging across business priorities.
  • Enable commercial impact – use data and insights to inform strategic and financial recommendations, supporting decision-making that drives enterprise-wide outcomes.
  • Champion collaboration and culture – partner with leaders and teams to strengthen communication capability, foster the One Team approach, and promote safety, wellbeing, and customer-first thinking.

About you

You're a confident communicator and natural collaborator who thrives in complex environments. With strong experience in developing strategic communications, you know how to translate complexity into clarity and influence at all levels. You're highly organised, solution-focused, and trusted by stakeholders for your ability to balance priorities and deliver outcomes that matter.

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • Proven communication expertise – at least three years' experience creating high-quality communication resources in large, complex, and regulated organisations, with demonstrated strength in change communications, project management, and issue management.
  • Strong stakeholder skills – the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels, collaborating effectively with senior leaders, specialists, and external partners while aligning diverse stakeholders.
  • Commercial and strategic acumen – a sound understanding of the commercial and shareholder environment in which Australia Post operates, with the ability to simplify and communicate complex commercial, operational, and financial concepts.
  • Professional capability – expert written and verbal communication skills, resourcefulness, project management experience, and tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics, Communications, or a related discipline.

How we'll deliver for you

  • Join one of the most culturally and linguistically diverse workforces in Australia, with people of all ages, genders and walks of life
  • We deliver on our values of Trust, Inclusivity, Empowerment and Safety every day. They're the TIES that bind our team together
  • Immerse yourself in the AP Way – where every single team member partakes in a learning module to help understand the vital role we play in delivering on our strategy and purpose
