Assessment Services partners with key stakeholders to deliver services to customers facing significant disadvantage, or multiple complex challenges.
The branch delivers medical assessments, technical advice, and evidence to support and inform decision-making related to payments and services.
Assistant Directors - Health and Allied Health lead, support and develop a team of Assessors to achieve quality business outcomes in line with team, branch and agency objectives.
They play an important role in providing high level quality assurance and building and maintaining key internal and external stakeholder relationships. They also play an integral role in providing technical advice, developing and supporting staff to improve their capability to deliver positive customer outcomes.
Assistant Directors may work as part of a virtual team located in metropolitan or regional service delivery sites.
Assistant Directors work under the broad direction of the Director - Health and Allied Health to deliver quality outcomes. They exercise a considerable degree of independence, with decision making substantially dependent on their own professional judgement.
In performing a leadership role, Assistant Directors drive innovation, change in workplace practices and organise work in the context of competing priorities and strategic direction.
