This Health, Safety and Environment role sits within a multi-disciplinary team at the Downer Group level with a key objective in supporting the operational businesses in achieving its Zero Harm goal. This Zero Harm specialist risk management role will assist in advancing the risk and safety culture change agenda of the organisation and will also play a key role in collaborating with all levels of management in implementing, monitoring, and reviewing organisational Zero Harm risk strategies.

This great opportunity although preferably based in Melbourne can also be based in Sydney and Brisbane and offers a hybrid working arrangement.

**THE ROLE**:
Reporting to the Group General Manager Zero Harm Systems and Projects you will be responsible for although not limited to:

- Monitoring for effectiveness Downer ZH Risk and Incident Management processes with in the Zero Harm Framework
- Overseeing the Zero Harm risk compliance activities undertaken within the Group
- Identifying improvement programs for targeted priority critical risks
- Assisting the pre-tender preparation of ZH risk materials for significant bids, or new or emerging areas of the business as required
- Implementing and administering Zero Harm risk management training, awareness and business engagement programs
- Overseeing and reporting on implementation progress of risk and incident improvement projects
- Ensuring all work is compliant to relevant legislation and company policies
- Initiating action to prevent and report the occurrence and repetition of OH&S, quality and environmental issues through designed channels Conducting Zero Harm audits/inspections identifying hazards and potential violations, verifying corrective actions undertaken

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Degree or Graduate Diploma in OHS or Risk Management is desired
- RABQSA or equivalent Internal Auditor qualification is preferred
- Substantial Zero Harm experience gained within a similar industry and across several ZH streams (eg Environment; Safety; Health)
- Experience in conducting risk assessments, audits and investigations of Zero Harm issues including the ability to assist in developing improvement plans based on findings
- Experience in preparing accurate reports and analysis of information
- Experience in researching, analysing and understanding information to advise and implement Zero Harm solutions
