**YOUR OPPORTUNITY**

Due to exciting business growth, we have a newly created role for an experienced National Optimisation Manager to join our team based in Scoresby VIC. You will be responsible for leading the management of the allocated state inventory portfolio, working with the purchasing teams, inventory management and DC teams to set the stock optimisation strategy Nationally.

Your key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Ensure our National inventory is optimized, proactively moving stock around the Blackwoods network
- Work with the National Purchasing Manager to ensure the right commercial decisions are taken to balance use of capital and cost of freight
- Develop relationships through the regional network, branches and DC’s so the team understand the commercial importance of the optimization role
- Ensure transfer orders are entered correctly, tracked as goods in transit and the receipted correctly at the receiving warehouse
- Work with Purchasing analytics including developing analytical and reporting capabilities to improve stock availability and minimise stock levels
- Effectively liaise with Planning to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained to support planned activity and forecast customer activity
- Review and recommend GAINS/ERP system inventory settings to maximise stock availability, ensure data integrity and set-up in GAINS/ERP system are accurate - work with internal stakeholders to fix issues
- Liaise with State Distribution Manager for optimisation of DC receiving and inventory locations through suitable purchasing approach

To be successful, you will have:

- Substantial Procurement experience in area of expertise to a fully competent level
- Detailed knowledge of inventory systems and replenishment methodologies
- Can demonstrate bringing organisation values to life and how they have been embedded into teams previously
- Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives, with strong people management skills and a solution focused approach
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field (e.g. data analytics) will be highly regarded
- A good understanding of forecasting processes, as well as highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs
