- **Schedule**: ideally Monday & Friday (Can be flexible with weekdays)
- **Weekend availability is essential** (typically Saturdays and/or Sundays for classes)

We are seeking a motivated and highly organised **Event & Operations Assistant** to join our vibrant, fast-paced team. This hybrid role combines **operational coordination, event support, and marketing**, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a hands-on, people-focused environment.
**The Role**
As the **Event & Operations Assistant**, you will support the daily operational functions of the business, assist in delivering memorable events, and provide hands-on assistance in our weekend public classes as a kitchen hand and event support team member.
The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can balance office coordination during the week with practical hospitality/event support on weekends/ weekdays. Availability across weekdays and weekends is essential.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Operations & Administration**
- Manage public class bookings; monitor attendance and ensure optimal capacities
- Respond to customer enquiries, dietary notes, and rebooking requests
- Liaise with venues, suppliers, and partners; assist with catering quotes and escalate leads where relevant
- Coordinate internal communications, including staff rosters and event schedules
- Maintain weekly inventory of aprons, Chef Kits, and retail stock; support reporting and restocking processes
- Keep office and warehouse spaces clean, organised, and event-prep ready
- Support post-event administration, e.g., Compiling sales and feedback reports, follow-ups with customers and replenishing kits and managing stock
**2. Class & Event Coordination**
- Prepare and dispatch materials such as aprons, run sheets, feedback forms, and sponsor collateral
- Assist with POS setup and monitoring at venues (Square, Rezdy)
- Liaise with venue partners regarding availability, access, layouts, and guest logistics
- Source staff and coordinate stock for upcoming classes and events
- Distribute weekly run sheets and class briefs to the broader team
- Provide regular updates on session logistics, stock levels, and feedback
**3. Event Support & Kitchen Hand Duties** _(Primarily weekends & some weekdays)_
- Assist with setup, guest check-in, and on-site support at public and private events
- Provide back-of-house assistance: prep, plating, cleaning, and resetting between classes
- Work closely with chefs and facilitators to ensure a smooth, high-quality experience
- Capture photos/videos during sessions for internal and marketing use
- Support post-event stock checks and venue restocking as required
**4. Marketing & Content Support**
- Assist with capturing content during classes, events, and team shooting days
- Help with content scheduling, basic community engagement, and occasional admin
- Gain exposure to campaign planning, branded activations, and partnership events
- Previous experience in operations, events, hospitality, marketing, or a similar hands-on administrative role
- Studies in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or Business preferred
- (Recent graduates or students with practical experience are encouraged to apply)_
- Comfortable assisting with content shoots, social media planning, and marketing support tasks
- Strong organisational and time management skills — able to prioritise and multitask effectively
- Tech-savvy and confident using tools such as Rezdy, Square, Google Workspace, Canva, Excel and Social Media Channels like Instagram, TikTok and Facebook
- Friendly, team-oriented, and a strong communicator with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across multiple stakeholders
- Physically capable of supporting event setup (e.g. lifting supplies, kitchen assistance)
- Available for weekend work (essential)
- Full Driver’s Licence preferred
