An exciting opportunity exists for the Principal Safety and Governance Advisor to provide high-level technical expertise and support to SCHHS on all Workplace Safety matters, interventions and strategies that provide guidance and direction for maintaining a safe workplace and supporting safe practices.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south to Gympie in the north.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- The provision of professional and high-level technical expertise to the Director Safety & Wellbeing, senior leaders, management and line supervisors on matters involving workplace safety, respiratory protection, injury prevention, legislative compliance, WHS policy and service delivery.
- Provide leadership and direction to a team of Safety practitioners including coaching and upskilling and developing a collaborative working environment as well as developing workflows that enable the delivery of solutioned focused safety and respiratory fit testing services to the business.
- The development of high-quality executive reports, briefing papers, submissions, plans, consultative documents and discussion papers on a broad range of complex safety issues to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders.
- Drive performance through the analysis and monitoring of workplace statistics and data to proactively identify Safety trends and strategies for performance improvement. Develop quarterly WHS Due Diligence reports, monthly statistical reports and present monthly reports at divisional meetings.
