Cement Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance and Shutdown Manager to join our Bulwer Island Team.

**Your Opportunity**
- **Lead day-to-day maintenance operations**, coordinating internal teams and external contractors to deliver work safely, efficiently, and within budget.
- **Oversee shutdown planning and execution,** ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and cost targets.
- **Contribute to mid-term planning**, helping shape maintenance strategy and operational readiness.
- **People leader**, leading, connecting and guiding teams to achieve the site’s operational targets.

- **Champion WHSE culture** by coordinating and embedding safety plans into all maintenance and shutdown activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all.
- **Lead planning with purpose**, guiding planners and weekly planning activities to ensure maintenance and shutdowns are well-prepared, efficient, and team-aligned.
- **Support and empower your team**, encouraging frequent safety observations and open dialogue to build trust and shared accountability.
- **Collaborate with the reliability team** to implement risk-reduction strategies and drive long-term asset performance.
- **Align maintenance priorities** with budget goals, ensuring timely execution and accurate forecasting to support financial stewardship.
- **Oversee stores and inventory** with a focus on cost efficiency, availability, and continuous improvement.
- **Foster strong partnerships with contractors**, ensuring alignment with company values, safety standards, and cost-effective outcomes.
- **Mentor and develop team members**, identifying growth opportunities for planners and maintainers, and nurturing a high-performance, inclusive culture.
- **Ensure shutdown excellence** by following established procedures and leading end-to-end execution with a focus on safety, timeliness, and budget adherence.
- **Contribute to project success**, supporting the delivery of site projects during shutdowns and ensuring seamless integration with maintenance activities.

**What**You’ll** Bring**
- Tertiary education qualification (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Operational experience within the manufacturing, mining or construction industry
- Proven experience in a Maintenance Planning/Shutdown or Supervisor level position
- Proven experience leading teams and direct reports
- Mature leadership and communications skills
- Experience in working with programs such as SAP, MS Projects, Microsoft Office Suite
