Our client, Department of Education, are currently seeking a Delivery Manager for an initial 12-month contract for their EQIP Program.

**Project Overview**

The EQIP Program is a transformational, multi-year program of work consisting of five projects. It will establish the department's first centralised, unified repository for all key data across the organisation, underpinned by robust data governance and quality control processes, to enable enhanced analytics and reporting capabilities that deliver priority intelligence and insights to school and corporate staff.

**The Delivery Manager role**

A Delivery Manager is required to join the EQIP Program to assist in the planning and delivery of the business transformation and technology foundations projects. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a highly astute and perceptive leader who will play a key role in shaping up and establishing an emerging data strategy practice and technical capability within the department.

**The Delivery Manager role**

A Delivery Manager is required to join the EQIP Program to assist in the planning and delivery of the business transformation and technology foundations projects. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a highly astute and perceptive leader who will play a key role in shaping up and establishing an emerging data strategy practice and technical capability within the department.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Delivery Manager will work with fellow program level leads across the organisational change, data governance and service design, data architecture and procurement disciplines to ensure the predictable and risk mitigated delivery of project level outputs with the support of three Senior Project Managers that report into this role.

**Main tasks and activities**:

- Manage program plan, timelines and processes to ensure all projects are progressing in accordance with the delivery schedule.
- Lead cross-functional teams and manage relationships with stakeholders to deliver the projects and program on time, within budget, and to high quality standards
- Manage project managers to deliver 'change management-rich' projects over their full lifecycle, including project planning, resource planning, stakeholder management and delivery of agreed milestones within agreed periods.
- Manage and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies to ensure the successful delivery of projects and program
- Provide coaching and mentoring to project teams to promote a culture of continuous improvement and best practices
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors and partners

**Experience and skills**:

- Experience operating within large and complex ICT programs of work with a strong business transformation component
- Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate with business staff to help move the assigned deliverables forward
- Experience in managing a project management team through to successful completion
- Strong problem-solving facilitation skills
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple and different stakeholder groups concurrently
- Demonstrated experience working within transformation programs/projects
- Highly developed collaboration skills with business and technical stakeholders
- Tenacious, well organised and able to manage people effectively
- Demonstrated ability to self-manage with competing priorities
- Experience in M365 tool set, including MS Teams and SharePoint
- Experience in scrum master functions to provide guidance a team to achieve their highest potential
- Strong understanding of contemporary enterprise-level data governance/management is required
- Understanding of data governance frameworks and data management principles, including technologies and processes, would be highly regarded
