Rate: $38.20 + $67.77 weekly allowance
- Full time hours Monday to Friday + weekend OT

APG Workforce are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Leading Hand based in Pendle Hill. Our client specializes in boxed poultry products for retail markets across Australia.
- Rate: $38.20 + $67.77 weekly allowance
- Employed through the agency as a casual with potential to go permanent after 3-6 months.
- Full time hours Monday to Friday + weekend OT

**Duties may include**:

- Troubleshoot to identify and overcome production/packaging problems
- Conducting internal audits & preparation and participation in external audits
- Performing verification of monitoring activities during production + verification of completed daily paperwork
- Prepare all samples for lab testing, analysis of lab results, data entry, filing and reporting activities, conducting end of shelf life product evaluations, post clean swabbing, environmental swabbing (including biotrace) in RTE.
- Cook ups and sensory evaluations, collecting product samples
- Product evaluation including fresh and frozen product
- Guide/mentor and facilitate the work of others
- Demonstrate sound leadership skills and the ability to maintain high standards of work and behaviour

**Critical Skills and Experience Required**
- Previous experience in food processing
- A sound knowledge of WQA, SQF 2000, Australian Standards, Coles Supplier requirements and HACCP implementation guidelines
- Detailed knowledge of all products and processes within scope
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to achieve departmental targets
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Background in poultry processing favorable
- Self-motivated
- Good communication skills, time management, organisational skills

**Essential Qualifications / Licenses**
- Tertiary qualification in food science / related agricultural science or relevant industry experience and training (i.e. HACCP)
- Excellent people skills and mathematical & communication skills, both written and oral
