Operations Manager – Food Manufacturing & Distribution

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily manufacturing and distribution operations
  • Lead, motivate, and develop production and logistics teams
  • Ensure compliance with NSW Food Authority standards
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimise productivity
  • Manage inventory, production scheduling, and workflow coordination
  • Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
  • Maintain machinery and facilities in top working condition
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing culture

Essential Qualities:

  • Proven experience in the food industry (manufacturing and/or distribution)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Flexible, reliable, and hands-on approach
  • Knowledge of NSW Food Authority compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and strong business acumen
  • Motivated, results-driven, and process-oriented
  • Experience in a family-owned business (advantageous)
