
Principal Conservation Officer

This role is responsible for the leadership and coordination of staff involved in pest management. The role is responsible for supervising and coordinating projects to monitor and evaluate pest management programs on protected area, forest estate and marine parks through the state. The projects will support Queensland Parks and Wildlife activities and provide technical and professional advice and support on ecological management.
The position is required to liaise across all levels within QPWS&P, with other government agencies and special interest groups. The Principal Conservation Officer is responsible for supervising staff, coordinating projects and providing high level technical and professional advice and support to the Manager, Fire and Pest Management.
