**The Opportunity**

As a Assistant Finance Officer in the City of Perth, you are responsible for effectively processing and reconciling all receipting, ensuring all financial transactions are completed accurately in a timely manner. The position also assists with funds management and carrying out accounts receivable and debt collection duties as required.

Reporting to the Revenue Service Lead within our Finance team, your responsibilities would primarily include:

- Review and reconcile bank receipting daily;
- Assist with funds management through journal preparation, monthly reconciliations, document management in accordance with the City’s records management guidelines;
- Assist the Accounts Receivable and Rates teams as requested by the Revenue Services Lead; and
- Attend to and respond courteously and timely to all internal and external enquiries.

**About You**

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and strong numerical aptitude for handling cash and reconciling accounts;
- Knowledge of financial and accounting software and competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; and
- High level of accuracy in data processing and attention to detail.
