**Description**:
Osborne Richardson is currently working with a Brisbane food manufacturer as they are seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to join their team.
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, this position will see you sampling and checking finished goods to ensure they meet the company's and customer's regulatory requirements.

**Responsibilities**:
Ensure an uncompromising approach is taken to food safety by all employees
Actively contribute to the establishment and solidification of the quality culture
Actively contribute to Quality Assurance and GMP requirements
To be a ‘champion’ for maintaining and improving GMP and quality
Facilitate change to achieve continuous improvement in quality
Maintain, update and develop relevant professional knowledge and skills to meet changing demands of the job
Coach, encourage and support other employees in their development and training
Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
Verify in-process production by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and
communicating the required adjustments to the production team
Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests including taste panels
Provide assurances that customer and regulatory standards are being met
Experience and skills required:

- Tertiary education in Food Science or demonstrated relevant experience
- Minimum 12 months experience in food safety and quality management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and attentjon to detail
- Basic food safety or hygiene training
- Experience with WSE standard is required
- Ability to adapt and work effectively in a fast paced environement
- Strong committment and desire to learn and achieve
