Maitland, Australia Pacific Smiles Group Full time

**Be the connector between commercial strategy and operational delivery.**
We’re on the lookout for a capable and hands-on **Procurement and Asset Specialist** who’s just as comfortable negotiating multimillion-dollar contracts as they are organising the delivery and installation of clinical equipment.

This is a pivotal role that supports the success and growth of our national health network. Sitting within the Operations team and reporting to an Executive Leader, you’ll be responsible for leading enterprise-level procurement activities, managing supplier relationships, overseeing equipment procurement, and developing a robust asset register from the ground up.

You’ll be based at our modern head office in East Maitland, with the flexibility to work from home as needed.

**What you'll be doing**

In this broad and rewarding role, you’ll have the opportunity to:
**Lead end-to-end procurement**
- Design and implement procurement strategies, systems and policies that drive value and ensure compliance.
- Run competitive sourcing events including tenders and RFPs, and negotiate contracts to achieve the best commercial outcomes.
- Oversee contract lifecycles — from drafting and execution through to renewals and supplier performance monitoring.

**Manage relationships & continuous improvement**
- Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure operational needs are met efficiently and effectively.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with key suppliers to monitor KPIs, resolve issues and drive improvements.
- Identify innovation opportunities and stay on top of market trends and emerging suppliers.

**Own asset and equipment management**
- Manage the procurement, delivery and installation of clinical and non-clinical equipment across all sites.
- Establish and maintain a centralised asset register, ensuring data accuracy and visibility across the business.
- Develop and implement lifecycle plans for equipment, including servicing, maintenance and disposal strategies.

**What you'll bring**

We’re looking for someone with a mix of strategic thinking and practical know-how. You’ll bring:

- Proven experience in procurement, contract negotiation and supplier management.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- The ability to flex between big-picture planning and rolling your sleeves up to get things done.
- Experience managing or developing an asset register across multiple locations.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, procurement or a related field
- Knowledge of the dental or health industry preferred
