A procurement leader with a strong business acumen, the ability to deliver outcomes in a changing and dynamic environment and be seen as a trusted procurement advisor. Our Procurement team needs self-motivated, driven and resilient people who have effective communication, strong interpersonal skills and effective problem solving skills.

**What you’ll be doing**:
The Purchasing Optimisation Lead is a key role within the Procurement Operations team responsible for identifying and driving optimisation of purchasing channels to deliver financial benefits and contractual control for the Group.

**Additionally you will**:

- Provide guidance and advice to contract owners ensuring alignment on best buying channel with Oracle, governance and cost control
- Be an expert in Oracle buying channels, categorisations and advice users and stakeholders on the optimum buying channels
- Support and drive improvement in purchasing compliance, identifying opportunities to improve spend and reduce administration times for purchasing channels
- Report and drive improvement in spend under contract and contract spend under BPA’s
- Set KPI’s for the helpdesk team and lead, support and mentor the team to success
- Facilitate and overs the execution of supply arrangements, accuracy of contract renewals/extensions and loading of contracts into Oracle
- Ensure VMF accuracy, support regulatory reporting, due diligence programs and automation of processes

**What you need to be successful**:

- Prior team leadership experience
- Be tertiary qualified in either Commerce, Economics or Business
- Hold five plus years’ experience in strategic sourcing, category management and procurement
- At least a years’ experience in a category management role
- Proven Oracle Financial or other ERP systems experience
- A solid understanding of commercial contracts, pricing structures and cost drivers
