**The Role**
Reporting into the Purchasing Manager, this Purchasing Officer will support the team across a variety of purchasing, procurement and administration activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Co-ordinate and process purchase orders within company systems and processes.
- Analyse the requirements of stakeholders and problem solve to ensure the appropriate procurement process is implemented.
- Manage and update the contract management system and ensure commercial information remains accurate and confidential.
- Advise and train internal stakeholders around procurement processes, procedures, and best practice.
- Manage Purchase Order maintenance on a regular basis as required.
- Manage the end-to-end process for Request for Quotes (RFQ) for lower risk and value purchases including preparation of RFQ documents, obtaining quotes, evaluating submissions, manage negotiations with suppliers, award Contract and handover to Contract Managers and Administrators.
- Prepare contract documents that are commercially acceptable that conform to company policy and procedures.
- Support Procurement Specialists and Managers in the preparation, release, and negotiation of more complex and higher value Request for Tender (RFT), Request for Proposal (RFP) and multistage procurements involving Expressions of Interest (EOI), Request for Information (RFI), Early Contractor Involvement (ECI).
**Skills & Experience**
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working within a fast-paced environment and great communication skills. You will have seen success within your previous positions because of your strong attention to detail skills as well as your ability to follow process and accurately record information.
- Demonstrated experience within a Procurement or Purchasing position
- Experience providing data analysis and reporting to a variety of business stakeholders
- Ability to deliver quality outcomes within set timeframes
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Tertiary education is highly desirable, with a Procurement & Supply Chain focus or a Business or Commerce related degree
