An exciting opportunity exists for a **Housing Services Officer** on an **Ongoing** basis in **Community Operations and Practice Leadership Division.**

The Community Operations and Practice Leadership Division provides a dedicated portfolio focus on children and families, housing and disability and provides services directly to Victorians.

The Community Operations and Practice Leadership Division is responsible for implementing operational policy and funding frameworks for child and family support services, housing and disability services. It leads work to better understand and respond to the needs of our clients and services, and to deliver effective services for the community across the whole of Victoria. The Community Operations and Practice Leadership Division works with clients, service providers and other government partners to co‑design more connected end-to-end client journeys to make services easier to navigate, sequence service interventions more effectively, build individual and family capability, focus on child development, and preserve and reunify families wherever possible.

The Community Operations and Practice Leadership Division manages critical incidents and assures child safety in a range of government and non-government services. It oversees the implementation of policy into operational service delivery to enable healthy, safe and strong communities by addressing the needs of Victorians across the continuum of health and human services care.

The Community Operations and Practice Leadership Division monitors and analyses state-wide service delivery standards and performance provides practice leadership and fosters continuous improvement in service delivery.

**North Division**

The North Division is led by the Deputy Secretary and responsible for service delivery and performance and quality improvements across diverse Local Government Areas (LGAs).

The Division delivers the operational programs of the department, including child protection, housing, agency performance, emergency management and Aboriginal engagement across four unique areas - North East Melbourne, Hume Moreland, Loddon and Mallee.

**North East Melbourne Area**

The Area is responsible for providing integrated departmental services to achieve positive client outcomes at a local level. It drives a holistic approach to meeting client need, an approach that is strongly supported by a client-centric culture.

The Area develops and maintains s strategic partnerships with the communities they serve and with external service providers, local businesses and other government agencies to ensure that local issues are understood, prioritised and addressed.
