The Vehicle Safety Policy and Partnerships Branch is responsible for driving the development and implementation of the legislation, procedures, guidelines, systems and workforce capability for the Road Vehicle Standards (RVS) legislation. This extends to managing the national road vehicle standards, also known as the Australian Design Rules (ADRs). The Autonomous Vehicle Standards section collaborates with national and international stakeholders to develop a new regulatory framework for connected and automated vehicles.
